Waubonsie Valley Percussion Ensemble
The Waubonsie Valley Percussion Ensemble is the premier percussion group at Waubonsie Valley High School. Founded in 2003, the WVPE provides percussionists an opportunity to play significant repertoire for percussion ensemble. The WVPE has performed many of the cornerstones of the percussion ensemble repertoire, as well as a sampling of diverse genres and styles. The ensemble meets twice a week and performs several times throughout the year, including: Prism Concerts, Meet the Artist Concert, Schlagzeugfest Concert and the Spring Percussion Ensemble Concert.

- Clinics with guest artists, including: Anders Astrand, Steve Houghton, Walter Mertens, Michael Burritt, Keith Aleo, Dan Smithiger, Ben Wahlund, Anders Holdar, Liam Teague, Andy Narell, Greg Beyer, Kathleen Kastner, Rick Kurasz, Ricardo Flores, Dan Moore, Mat Britain, Pat Schleker, Jeremy Brunk, Anthony DiSanza, Michael Truesdell, Alex Weir, Frank Check and many more.
- Performance at the VanderCook Day of Percussion in 2005.
- Host of the 2007 Illinois Day of Percussion for the Percussive Arts Society.
- Performance at the 2007 Music‐For‐All National Percussion Festival in Indianapolis, IN.
- Performance and musical service project at Humboldt Community Christian School in 2008.
- Performance and clinic at University of Wisconsin‐Madison in 2011.
- Featured performance at the DuPage Children’s Museum Family Fun Night in 2014.
- Performance and clinics at Indiana University in 2014.
