Marching Warriors
The Marching Warriors is one of Waubonsie Valley’s most exciting and high-energy programs, bringing together winds, percussion, and color guard for unforgettable performances all season long.
From Friday night lights to competitions and parades, our students represent the school with pride, passion, and excellence. The season runs August through October, kicking off with a high-impact summer camp that builds skills, confidence, and lifelong friendships.
While participation is voluntary, students who join commit to something bigger than themselves—a team built on dedication, spirit, and pride.

- Outback Bowl Game & Parade – Tampa, Florida
- Magic Music Days at Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom
- New Year’s Day Parade – London, England
- Bands of America Regionals
- New Year’s Day Parade – Rome, Italy (2025–2026)
Membership for the Marching Warriors
Who Can Join?
All students enrolled in a band class are welcome to join the Marching Warriors as part of the woodwind, brass, or percussion sections, no audition required.
Color guard is open to all Waubonsie Valley students, regardless of prior experience. Auditions for color guard and drumline are held each spring.
Registration information is sent home in March. Students can secure their spot by completing registration and submitting the materials fee.

ATTENDANCE POLICY

Excellent ensembles like the Marching Warriors depend on the contributions of all of their members on a daily basis, so please be proactive with communicating any and all conflicts. To request an excused absence, please contact Mr. Dandeles ([email protected]) at least two weeks in advance. |
