Choir Scholarship Information
WVHS CHOIR PARENTS ASSOCIATION SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION 2019
The WVHS Choir Parent Association is pleased to offer scholarships to further our students’ music education.
*A minimum of one $500 college scholarship will be awarded to a senior who will be continuing their education by majoring in music performance, musical theater, music education, music composition, music therapy, or music business.
*Additionally, $150 scholarships will be awarded to selected freshman, sophomores, and juniors for private voice lessons or music camps. Scholarships cannot be used toward Showchoir or Mosaic fees, or toward choir trips.
You must be enrolled in a curricular choir to be eligible for these scholarships. Scholarships are awarded based on a written essay and participation in WVHS sponsored music activities. Scholarships are paid by check directly to the selected music teacher, camp, or institution. Scholarships are not transferrable and may only be used by the selected applicant.
Completed applications and essays must be submitted to a WVHS Choir Director by Friday, May 10, 2019. Applications and essays will not be accepted after this deadline.
Scholarships will be awarded at the Choral Awards Banquet on Monday, May 20, 2019.
